Villa Tranquille remains a benchmark for home building artistry. Let’s take a closer journey through the details.
This particular picture of the kitchen and dining area of Villa Tranquille captures so many of the hand-crafted details Alway Homes are renown for.
Let’s start with the walls: Venetian plastered with a smooth finish and burnished edges. Venetian plaster is art in itself.
We also played around with ceiling heights and finishes in this house. Together, we have a spanning archway between Kitchen and Great Room, plus a barrel vault over the dining area. The barrel vault is bricked with travertine stone.
The Villa Tranquille Cottage kitchenette featured the same quality finishes as the main home. Knotty Alder cabinets with hand-bulleted details, travertine backsplash, granite counters.
The cabinetry and finish work in this house showcased a lot of handiwork. These grapes were designed and applied throughout the kitchen.
The Powder Bath’s furniture grade cabinetry featured the same grapes and hand tooled designs as found through the rest of the home. Even the mantel piece and mirror surround were custom made for this home. Copper sink, Granite counters, Travertine backsplash.
All in all, a very satisfying and fun home to complete.
The Bend Tour of Homes is coming quickly — just next month now! We hope you’ll take the time to come out and see our house (in Mountain River Estates!). Plenty of surprises and new designs this year.
