There really is no finer place to live than Bend, Oregon. That’s my opinion, anyway.
The weather is perfect; not too hot, not too cold. Golf year-round! In fact, you can fit in any number of sports in a day. Ski up at Bachelor in the morning and hit the links in the afternoon. It’s not unheard of.
But the weather is just one of the many reasons I’ve chosen to make Bend, Oregon my home and center of my business. Natural beauty is another biggie. Just take a look at that view above! That’s the Deschutes River underneath the Cascade Mountain Range, all seen from the deck of a beautiful custom home I built on the South side of Bend (Mountain River Estates).
Another great plus about Bend, Oregon is the endless recreational opportunities and community events. The list feels endless. Bend, Oregon is definitely not one of those places where you ask your wife/husband/friends “Is there anything to do tonight?” There’s always something to do in Bend.
My favorite activity in Bend, Oregon isn’t found on the city website. I haven’t found a lot of blogs about it. But if it’s a nice sunny day, 72F with a light breeze, you’ll probably find me in my workshop. For the past week I’ve been working on a hand-made table for a particular house. Before that, I was working on the finish trim package for a new custom home just finished.
Here’s a photo of a bespoke desk:
The desk is built with reclaimed wood and could actually be used as a functional woodworker’s table — who knows, it might serve double-duty.
While I concentrate on building custom homes for folks throughout Bend, Oregon, I also enjoy building and detailing the smaller things for a home, too.
